The Pineapple Thief continue to morph from neo-prog into experimental rock, led by post-progressive mastermind Bruce Soord with sticks handled by drummer extraordinaire Gavin Harrison. The band has raised the standard yet again on their 2020 release “Versions of the Truth” which creates a conceptual progression from a contemplation on our 'post truth' world. Lyrically the album tackles a more personal reflection on how there can be more than one 'version of the truth', the impact it can have on our lives and the people we love.
A fresh dynamic has been added to the band's creative process with recording starting at Bourne Place (London) and Soord Studios (Yeovil) upon their completion of their US 2019-2020 tour. Engineering was handled by Bruce Soord and Gavin Harrison, with mastering by band member Steve Kitch. This release is available in multiple formats, some of which have limited distribution.
