“The Fading Thought” is the debut solo album from Greek keyboardist Jargon. As one of the founders of the progressive rock band Verbal Delirium, one is likely to hear the overlaps between his solo effort and his work with this earlier band. Yet, he has managed to differentiate his solo sound, while Verbal Delirium skew heavily toward certain prog-rock clichés such as organ and a heaviness that permeate the music, Jargon’s solo album borrows extensively from chamber music and film scores. To that end, both piano and strings are naturally given prominent roles throughout The Fading Thought.
